Edmonton, Alberta – August 14, 2015 – Bryan Michael Stoller, award winning producer/director/writer of such films as “First Dog” which has over a half million rentals, is in town to speak at the Edmonton Short Film Festival (ESFF), along with Little Bear (co-star of First Dog and the Amazing Wizard of Paws). Through his work, Bryan has rubbed shoulders with stars including Steven Spielberg, Michael Jackson and Nancy Reagan. Mr. Stoller, author of the best-selling book, Filmmaking for Dummies, will be the keynote speaker at this grassroots movie festival. Mr. Stoller’s appearance is sponsored in part by Bravofact. Dan Ackroyd states “I know of nobody more suitable than Bryan Michael Stoller to author a manual on how to get a film made!”
The ESFF is an Alberta-based film festival whose main focus is to elevate the province’s independent filmmakers. Part of the festival’s vision is an educational component where industry movie professionals teach successful business and creative practices. The festival organizers have made a special arrangement with Mr. Stoller to bring this exclusive show to Edmonton.
The Filmmaking Master Class will be held at El Cortez restaurant on September 26 from 11:30am to 2:00pm. Every film submission to the festival will receive a complimentary ticket to this educational event; a limited number of tickets are available to the general public. This is a great opportunity for everyone to learn the ins and outs of Hollywood filmmaking magic.
The Edmonton Short Film Festival takes place at the Royal Alberta Museum in the middle of Alberta Culture days (September 26). Doors open at 6 PM; advance tickets are priced as low as $16.25.
